The easiest and fastest way from the airport to the centre of Athens is metro (line 3). Trains are leaving every 30 minutes, and the cost is 8 euros (tickets sold in the metro station, automatic machines and cashiers. Group tickets for 2 or 3 people are also available at reduced price). You may also use the bus (line X95, cost: 5 euros, tickets sold at the kiosk in front of the bus terminal or from the driver) or a taxi (fixed cost: 35 euros).
For transportation within Athens (airport access is not included), standard tickets cost 1,40 euros and are valid for 90 minutes with multiple changes; there are also daily tickets (4 euros) and weekly tickets (14 euros). These cover all transportation networks (bus, metro and tram) and are sold in metro stations and public transportation kiosks near main bus stops.
- Hotels Astor, Electra Ermou, Arethusa and Pan are close to Syntagma station (metro line 3, direct from the airport, one station after Evagelismos, or bus X95, terminal station at Othonos Street, Syntagma square).
Hotels Herodion and Philippos are close to Acropolis station (change at Syntagma station, take line 2 on direction Agios Dimitrios to the next station, Acropolis ).
Hotel Athenian Callirhoe is between Acropolis and Syggrou-Fix station on metro line 2.
Hotel Crowne Plaza is close to Megaro Mousikis (metro line 3, direct from the airport, one station before Evagelismos, or bus X95, same name for the stop)
